ADMISSION IN ITALY

Non-EU citizens living abroad

Non-EU citizens living abroad can come to Italy with a study visa within the "quotas" set up by each Italian University in the month of March.A pre-enrolment through the Italian diplomatic Representation is compulsory usually between the month of April and May of each year. Every year, towards the end of April, the timings are set by the Ministery of Education By the end of July Italian Universities confirm by fax the admission to the University and send to the Italian Embassies the calendar of the admission exams, the rules on how to apply for benefits to Opera Universitaria and all necessary information for the on-line registration to the University of Trento. 

Please, make sure to get all necessary information.
 
An Italian admission exam is to be taken at the beginning of September except for:

- Master's courses in English language
- students holding an Italian Secondary School leaving ("maturità italiana)
- students with an official certificate of Italian language of at least B2 level,

given by University of Siena or Perugia or by the Italian Cultural Center within an agreement with these Universities.

Students have to be in Trento anyway for the last days of August 2010.
