Italy of Values amendment to change the law on the crime of illegal immigration
Rome - November 18, 2010 - "The current legislation on the crime of illegal immigration is absurd and must be changed: for the immigrants who remain without employment for reasons beyond their responsibility, IdV requesting the extension of a residence permit for another 12 months ".
The proposal was presented yesterday by Senator Julie Carlino, leader of Italy of Values in Work Commission, who announced the amendment to change the text only currently governing immigration.
"We believe that this amendment could be decisive, by law, the situation that has unfortunately been created and which threatens to escalate and explode all over Italy, as was the case in Brescia and Milan" in the senator concluded.
