30th December 2009: At least 12% of workers in firms owned by immigrants in Italy are Italians, a new research by Unioncamere, Nomisma and Crif Decision Solutions has revealed.

While 35% of the firms hire foreign workers, only 5% of the workers are from the owner’s country of origin. In more structured firms, Italians are about 28% of the hired staff, while 12% are immigrants from other countries. According to the research, most of these foreign workers are hired locally.
