Be informed before you apply for regularisation

Before you decide to submit your application for regularisation, please make sure you and your employer meet all the requirements.
We have been answering several questions from our readers about regularisation of illegal immigrant workers in Italy and will continue doing so in the coming days. CLICK HERE TO SEE OUR LEGAL Q&A SECTION.

It’s important to be informed in order to carefully prepare all that is required and follow the right procedure in submitting the application.

This is a costly exercise. The application fee alone is 1000 Euros. Other expenses include paying the social security contributions and taxes. It is therefore wise to ensure that you and your employer are eligible in order to avoid spending money if your application is most likely to be rejected.

Many who have not informed themselves of requirements and conditions for regularisation will submit applications which will certainly be rejected.

If you have any doubts, please seek the help of Patronati (Benevolent Institutions). These offices are in each city (they normally share premises with trade unions such as CGIL, UIL, CISL, etc.), and have immigration experts who are trained to handle all immigration matters. Above all, they provide their services free of charge.
